Meeting with Arang and James for the second time, I discovered that all James can remember from our initial booking consultation is having gone to the same high school, and the chocolate chip cookies, haha. My memory serves pretty well, but I was still blown away by how absolutely gorgeous Arang looked in her stylish off-white dress upon arrival. As I continue to get to know her better, however, I am finding out that what’s even more beautiful is her delightful personality. With James also being a very friendly, laid-back fellow, I really enjoyed working with this couple for their engagement session at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon.

With all the trees at peak blossom, there was no shortage of beautiful color, life and texture in the garden. The coral color of Arang’s second dress (a traditional Korean outfit) wonderfully complemented the color of the cherry blossoms, which we did quite a bit of hiking to locate. We were also blessed with the most perfect day, and no shortage of sunshine! The lovely natural light, combined with the fact I could not bring my strobe in, per Longwood’s newest rules, gave this particular set of portraits a more “light and airy” feel, which was fitting for the scene. That’s right, folks, we are a jack of all styles!
